Faculty Count Data 1997 - 2007

The Dickinson School of Law has grown over the last six years. The Dean's welcome says more than 30 new faculty appointments were made in this time. The faculty include one of the nation’s leading scholars of corporate mergers and acquisitions, the world’s preeminent expert on Russian law, leading scholars of commercial arbitration, renowned scholars of antitrust and law and economics, former law clerks to United States Supreme Court Justices, a leading scholar of international banking and finance, the first legal counsel to the African Union, the legal counsel to the Greek Presidency of the European Union. The title links to a spreadsheet containing counts of faculty for the school from 1997 to 2007. We are looking for creative ways to display the data. You can send your suggestions to PSU.CfW.assessment@gmail.com or with a link in your comments. If you send your suggestion, our moderators will create a link and post the suggestion.

Report on the Status of Women at Penn State

Have you wondered about the profile of women at Penn State? How many female faculty members are in a particular college? What is the gender and ethnicity distribution of staff positions? Answers to these questions and many others are available in the 2007 - 2008 report that is available at http://www.equity.psu.edu/cfw/docs/cfw_wm_report_07_08.pdf or click on the title link to download the Adobe PDF file.

Goals for 2009 - 2010

We have several objectives this year that we would like to pursue:
  • Create an abbreviated update to the Status of Women Report to be available online. This will be an annual endeavor.
  • Create a comprehensive assessment committee website that pools data from many different sources and makes it easily readable for the general public. Additionally try and gather data on underrepresented groups at Penn State such as non-tenured faculty and post-docs.
  • We are also interested in making a section of the website that provides policy information – such as family leave, that is clearer and more concise than what is currently available from Human Resources.
